T Y P I C A L  R E H E A R S A L  S T R U C T U R E

6.45 - 7.30 pm: 30 - 45 mins of warm-up and technical skill building that develop ear training, vocal technique, agility, expression, improvisation, support, breathing, rhythm, voice blending, vocal health, mind-body awareness, immersive sound bathing and musical team building. 

 

7.30 - 8 pm: Break-out S/A/T/B practises to check-in with individual parts and get to know people in your section.

8 - 8.15 pm: Break

8.15 - 9.15 pm: Whole Group Practise. This is when we bring parts together, refine them, and incorporate other ways of enjoying the pieces such as sound bathing + recording.

 

Rehearsal Prep: Scores and recordings for most material are given ahead of rehearsals, for singers to prepare ready to sing with others. Rehearsal time is then used to bring parts together and refine them, without long periods of teaching + waiting. Estimated practise time outside of sessions is 30 mins - 1 hr per week depending on how new you are to the material / skill level.

 

Rehearsal Approach: We aim to work towards a high standard in a way that is informal, fun and prioritises wellbeing, but still requires focus + preparation from singers.
